MEET TREEKA

I don't remember deciding to work with plants.

I remember recognizing them.

I was seventeen when they first caught my attention, and something quietly familiar stirred inside me. What began as curiosity became relationship. Decade after decade, the plants have remained my greatest teachers. They have taught me to slow down, to listen before acting, to trust the wisdom of seasons, and to remember that the deepest forms of healing cannot be rushed.

Looking back, I can see they were preparing me long before I understood what they were preparing me for.

My work has never been about plants alone.

It has always been about relationship.

Relationship with our bodies.

With the living world, the Fire, the Forest, the water, the moon...

With one another.

And with the quiet knowing that lives beneath the noise of modern life.

Women often come to me because something no longer fits.  They are looking to deepen into the intimacy of who they are and with Life.

I know that place.

Not because my story is the same as theirs, but because my own life has been shaped by thresholds that asked me to become someone I could never have imagined.

Motherhood changed me.

Loss has changed me.

Boundary crossings and moments of deep unravelling have changed me.

Again and again, life has invited me to loosen my grip on who I thought I should be and return to something older, steadier, and more true.

The plants were there for all of it.

So were the women.

For more than thirty years I have walked in relationship with the Plant Nation, and for more than twenty years I have had the privilege of walking alongside women through the many visible and invisible thresholds that shape a life.

Along the way, I have also spent over two decades designing and leading experiences that gathered thousands of people. It may seem like an unexpected part of this story, but it taught me something that has become central to my work today:

How to create spaces where people feel safe enough to soften.

Because healing rarely happens simply because we receive the right information.

It happens when we experience ourselves differently.

That understanding eventually became The ForRest.

Not a clinic.

Not a program or treatment.

But essentially a Hearth.

A place where women can step out of performance, urgency, and self-abandonment, and begin cultivating a different relationship with themselves.

My formal training has woven through Master Herbalism, Herbal Therapy, Holistic Health, Full Spectrum Doula care, Traditional Uterine Massage (TuM), Reproductive Care, and Eco-Sensual Practice. I have been deeply honoured to learn from the Grandmothers of the Quechua Nation in Peru and through a midwifery internship with the Mamas of AMUPAKIN in Ecuador. I continue to give back to my teachers, in service and financial contributions.  This is an important part of my work; reciprocity as these experiences continue to shape my practice with humility and gratitude and to honor where the wisdom was shared.

Yet if you asked me who my greatest teachers have been, my answer would still be the same.

The women.

The plants.

And the land.

They have taught me that no woman needs to be fixed.

She needs to be faithfully met.

She needs time.

Relationship.

Safety.

A place where she no longer has to earn belonging.

So, my role remains beautifully simple.

To listen deeply.

To walk beside you.

To accompany

To witness.

To offer the wisdom of plants, traditional practices, and wholehearted presence.

To cultivate the conditions where your own knowing has room to emerge.

Because I don't believe healing is something another person gives us.

I believe it is something we remember.

If these words feel familiar, perhaps they have found something that already lives inside you.

If so, I would be honoured to work with you.
