MUGWORT BIRTHKEEPER'S MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

Matriarch Medicine | Secrets of the Sacred | An Immersion

Matriarchs, ripe in time of life, have been the fruiting bodies of the community for as long as people have communed.

Birth is calling Matriarchs back to hold the initiations that have always required torch bearers.

Retrieving the roots of old wisdom and merging it with the illumination of modern life, two Matriarchs devotedly walking the Birth Spiral with families desiring sacred sovereignty are offering their selves back to the community now as guides for other birth workers seeking their personal and professional initiations.

Treeka + Siân are coming together to provide stability for the emergent birth workers hearing the call to service and transmissions of their combined knowledge. Through the course of 13 moons, they will provide ceremonies for your descent into your truest self as doula and human.

With ancient and traditional lineage teachings,
Oral traditions, space for cohesive group and personal pilgrimage through the many peaks and valleys of conscious conception, labour, birth and postpartum, this is a comprehensive program borne out of elders and experiential learning.

Returning to the roots of birth and fertile soil of personal growth requires courage and as the paradigms shift back now to agency and deep trust, we are calling the fruiting bodies of birth to walk with one another and reclaim the wise woman way.

This path is neither quick nor easy, it is not what you think it is, it is what is under ground. it is not what our ego thinks it’s what our heart knows.

This path is slow medicine, rich medicine and remembrance. This is the fabric of the supportive village that so many are declaring as necessary. Without solid Matriarchs and space holders for birth the backbone of the village is weak.

We offer a protective and supportive caul for you to gestate within, step deeper into purpose within, ultimately birth yourself within, become the sacred witness within and from that place of fully seeing and being seen, feel ready to truly be the container in your own unique birth-working, wise way.

You don’t show up for this work for just yourself, this is community work and those who choose to walk with you in this program will require dedication from you too.

I has been gifted the honor of sitting with women in the space of birth for almost two decades. Each one unique, a teacher, a wild blessing.

I am a Mother, Faery Godmother, Life Giver. A guardian who loving cares for the space that cocoons inner gateways and an invitation to connect deeply to the innate wisdom we embody within.

I works in sacred partnership with the wise woman teachings and have been connected to natures apothecary since I was 17.

Meet Treeka

Meet Sian

Sian is a mother of four, birth keeper and ceremonialist overseeing the initiations that humans journey through in imitation of the Earth cycles, from menarche to pregnancy, postpartum to menopause through to a deep honouring of deaths holy place in the great circle.

Under tutelage of wise elders and matriarchs, Sian holds the medicine of old and long gathered birth wisdom, protection of sacred postpartum, the descent from archetypal maiden into deep Mother Self, storykeeping, story speaking and poetry. She merges her Celtic reverence for forest lore with a folk knowing of plant medicine and serves the community from this place of holding legacy and passing it down.

She brings to the realm of Birth Keeping trust, longevity and a longing for us all to return to the old root ways of feeling, watching, listening, learning and mentoring our way through life and rites of passage with those we are in relationship with.

DEAR BIRTHKEEPER,

You’ve chosen to walk a very ancient path and we are excited that you’re considering us as your mentors into a deeper relationship with the entire childbirth continuum from pre conception to sacred postpartum.

It must be understood that this 13 month apprenticeship is a call for you to be deeply devoted and dedicated. Once you say yes, you are in for all of what it may be. Like birth, once committed, you transform.

This course followed the cycles of the year, as does the human body, as does all things, when in best alignment.

We will be journeying though spring, summer, autumn, winter, pre conceptions, pregnancy, birth, postpartum, maiden, mother, wild woman, crone, the cycles of the moon in the sky and within us.

The months are varied, extensive, deep and connected. They move fluidly from one theme to the next with the changing months and seasons, in a way that makes sense on an intrinsic, cellular level, and cohesively.

We use myth and experiential story to deepen the teachings , and cultivate connection, birth community, support and encourage a descent into self so you can come our gleaming and knowing how you uniquely offer your self in the realm of birth.

Clarity, Knowledge, Illumination, sexuality, Trust, love, Courage, Woundology and showing up healed, the transformation of the journey, storytelling, story keeping, lineage teachings of elders, altered states of consciousness, holistic stages of birth, physiology are just some of the base topics that we delve into but the way in which a web is woven is intricate. There is space for movement and magic, bringing more fine tuned weaving in as we choose.
